Welcome to T.L.C. Parenting
YOU ARE NOT ALONE! Terry is here to help you overcome your parenting obstacles, help transform yourself & empower your children.
Terry is a Conscious Parent Coach, certified by Dr Shefali's Conscious Coaching Institute. Trained in her methodology, Terry helps parents renew their connection with both themselves and their children.
Like countless parents, Terry has always strived for perfection in raising her children. However, like so many others, her approach only made matters worse. When her children refused to listen, she tried various ways to control them in order to meet her expectations, all the while grappling with the thought of not being a good parent.
Eventually her struggle caused her body and mind to fail her. She just couldn't go on trying to help her children with all her heart only for her effort to end in vain. That was a pivotal moment in her life where she decided to quit her job/business to care for herself and her family.
At this time she discovered yoga, which helped her overcome her struggles with perfection and slow down. She immersed herself in yoga and loved the host of benefits it offered, one being mindfulness. She taught Dahn Hak yoga and yoga for kids in schools, discovering that children are filled with so much stress and anxiety that they needed yoga and mindfulness.
Terry devoted her time to schools. She worked as a daycare educator, an attendant (helping children with learning and behavioral difficulties) and also did lunch time supervision. During her time there, she witnessed how children behaved and how teachers and school administrators interacted with them. She saw the need for connection & constant validation for the kids, including her own children.
Terry developed her interest in conscious parenting when she discovered Dr. Shefali Tsabary in 2012. From that moment, she was inspired by her message and teachings and felt called to spread the knowledge to others.
